Afterward, join us in Douglass Hall for a special talk back to discuss the sermon together. Bring your guests, your energy, and your spirit of inquiry. The Men's Prayer Call is a sacred space where brothers can share and explore their relationship with God in Christ Jesus. All brothers are encouraged to join. The call will be every Monday Morning from 7:30 am – 7:45 am on Zoom.

Train up your child in the way they should go and when they are old they will not depart from it. Church School meets each Sunday morning at 8:30 am, and concludes at 10am in Douglass Hall. There are classes available for EVERYONE! We will be excited to see you in attendance!

 

Griefshare sessions continue this Thursday at 7:00pm. The sessions will be held via Zoom. The cost of the workbook for our sessions is $20. If you have any questions, please email Bro. Brandon Cox at brandon.carlton.cox@gmail.com.

The Sarah Allen Missionary Society (SAMS) has received a generous donation of turkeys for the Thanksgiving holiday.  The turkeys will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis and will be available for pickup from Metropolitan A.M.E. Church 1518 M Street, Washington, D.C.  on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 - 10:00 am to noon.

Celebrate Advent with us on Sunday, December 1, at 10 AM, featuring the Bowie State University Concert Choir alongside our Music and Creative Arts Ministry. Experience powerful gospel, carols, and spirituals that honor the season’s spirit of hope and joy. Join us for this inspiring musical journey as we mark 48 wonderful years of Advent celebrations. All are welcome!

 

The Metropolitan AME Veterans Council is a ministry that supports military service members, veterans, and their families by providing information and prayerful support.  All service members, veterans, and family members are invited to attend.  Join us on the second Wednesday of each month at 6pm.  For more information, please contact Dr. Bryon L. The Met Dance Ministry has officially begun rehearsals for this year's exciting performances! Our dancers are preparing for the Church School Homecoming and Christmas programs, and we are thrilled to welcome both returning and new students to join us.

For over 40 years, the Love and Peace Unit (LAP) of the Sarah Allen Missionary Society has provided Christmas gifts to children in need. This year, we seek your support to continue this tradition by donating $25 Visa, Walmart, or Target gift cards. Beneficiaries include the Metropolitan AME Food Bank, DC Public Schools, the TrayRon Center, and the Black Student Fund.

Join us as we honor and celebrate the lives of our loved ones during a special Memorial Service on Sunday, December 15th, immediately following the worship service. Together, we will reflect, share memories, and find comfort in community and prayer. All are welcome to attend this meaningful time of remembrance.

 

The Pearl P. Cook Senior Citizens Club invites you to attend its Christmas event, The Miracle of Christmas, on Thursday, December 19, 2024, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm in Douglass Hall.
