Our Vital Worship grant work continues this month with the Artist in Worship series. Join us as we create an instrumental music worship experience that speaks to all generations. When our musical guests visit we invite you to listen as we blend contemporary genres with traditional hymns and other uplifting songs to deepen your worship experience by fostering inner reflection, creating a sacred atmosphere, and stimulating your emotional connection. Without the distraction of lyrics, try focusing in on personal prayer or contemplation, allowing the music to guide your thoughts. The serene and reverent environment created by instrumental music can also enhance the sense of sacredness, encouraging us to practice mindfulness and immerse ourselves fully in the moment. The emotive power of instrumental music can evoke feelings that resonate with your spiritual journey. We invite you to connect more deeply with your faith by reflecting on memories, emotions, and calls to action that the music stirs in your spirit.

...we are answering God’s call for the present age. We are planning to provide housing for unhoused veterans. We fight ecological apartheid and climate injustice by organizing people around the nation to ensure that Black, brown, and poor communities are not doomed to be stifling heat islands... We fight the displacement of Black people in the District of Columbia. We stand up against legislation that would further criminalize Black youth in our city.
